The congregation of OVPC is active in ministering to our church family as well as to the community.  Be sure to check this page often to see what new opportunities are available for you to help!

Pyle Center Food Closet.

This is an ongoing mission of the congregation.  Please bring non-perishable food items, cleaning supplies, and paper products and drop them in the basket by the door to the sanctuary.  Each week the donations are delivered to the Pyle Center where they are distributed to those in need.  Of particular need are those items that cannot be purchased with food stamps.

Brandywine Assisted Living (Fenwick Island)

The Ministerium is inviting churches to do a brief worship service on a rotating basis.  Services will be on the first and third Sundays of the month at 3:30 in the afternoon.  If you would like to take part in these services please let the pastor know.

Home Repair Project

Sponsored by the Emergency Home Repair Project this mission is an opportunity to help do home restoration work in our community.  For related documentation please click here.

The Women's Circle participates in many missions.  A Missions Committee studies and recommends to Circle which missions to support.  Included in the 2008 mission work:

National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NAIAD)
American Cancer Society
Women of the Congo-Palm Project

The Women's Circle also sponsors fund raisers such as the Ice Cream Social, Fall Jumble, Rada Cutlery, and Fun Fur Scarves for mission contributions.  To contribute to any of these missions or to find out more information please contact the Church Office.
